This album starts in 1917, during the First World War, when Puss and Bobo were young adults. Puss worked in the Bank of England at the time, and Bobo was serving in the Royal Engineers. It goes on through 1918 – with lots of photos of them at Canford Cliffs in June that year – I think this may have been a honeymoon with friends. It includes the birth of Peter, then Mouse. And loads of photos of a summer holiday in Prestatyn in 1925 – Bobo is noticeable absent and I think he was working overseas at the time (Iran?). Lots of the homes are mentioned over the years, in Huyton, Hitchin, Andover. As are the dogs – Mick, Jim, John.
The album doesn’t look very big, but it includes more than 300 pictures (the originals of which are often tiddly – smaller than a business card). Anyway, I’ve split the album into three videos, to make the files smaller.
Notes to me/about this album: This album was photographed using a DSLR on a tripod. The photos were cropped using Adobe LightRoom software, then imported to PowerPoint, where the fonts were added, and a copyright free soundtrack (details at end of the videos above), then exported PowerPoint as an MP4.
