Beef mould (Dog)

This isn’t literally dog, but used to be called dog. Phew!

Method

Re-mince* all the ingredients.

Put in a greased pudding basin and bowl for 3 hours.

Leave in basin til cold.

Tip! Didi says rather than re-mince she would be inclined to pulse in the Magimix.

Serve with: green tomato chutney, see the recipe included on this website. Didi says dog is one of those old-fashioned sorts of recipes.

1 lb minced beef

½ lb cooked fat ham or bacon

¼ lb breadcrumbs

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ teaspoon of ground mace

1 egg
